The "Waistcoat Mans General Purpose Ops" is made in the United Kingdom by the original defense contractor to the British Armed Forces. Issued to Ground troops, this waistcoat has been used in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Belize and Brunei. In fact wherever British Troops deploy, this load carry waistcoat has been used.
The Waistcoat is manufactured from genuine 1000 Denier Infra Red Reflectant cordura material in the standard British Disruptive Pattern Material and heavy duty olive green mesh for ventilation. YKK zips and ITW NEXUS side release buckles ensure that this load carry vest will stand up to the harshest of conditions.
Waistcoat features 3 side release buckle closure at front and is fully adjustable at the rear and shoulder sections to fit a wide variety of body sizes and in order to be worn over body armour or plate carriers. Two internal pockets can be accessed by zip without releasing the front closures. A rear, internal poachers pocket has velcro closure. Front internal pockets have pistol holster and dump pockets inside as shown in the product images.
On the left side of the vest are provided magazine pouches with a total capacity of six 30 round L85, C7 or M4 magazines . In addition there is a large utility or water bottle pouch and small upper utilty pouch with an external open top pocket for whistle, pocket knife or flashlight. The right side has 3 large utility pouches and a small upper utility pouch.
All pouches except for the ammunition pouches have olive green, water repellant security covers with draw cord closures. There is a drag loop secured to the upper part of the mesh back which is full length for maximum ventilation
